Low Back Pain Destroys My Daily Activities

Most people will experience back or neck pain at some point in their lives. Back and neck pain are among the top causes of disability worldwide, and the number of cases is rising. Some factors behind this are poor posture, increased use of mobile devices, and unhealthy lifestyle choices. Although it is not always possible to prevent this pain, there are steps people can take to help to reduce the chance it will occur.

If you suffer with low back pain that lasts longer than a couple of weeks, your doctor will probably refer you to a physical therapist. While simple measures such as applying heat or cold or using over-the-counter pain remedies may help, the best approach for most back pain is exercises and other treatments under the guidance of a physical therapist.

Some steps we can try to maintain a good body posture for the Spine (lumber, thoracic and cervical area) to minimize stress on the joints. Also, we try to reduce the postural mistakes like head too far forward or rounding shoulders especially for desk workers, they need to keep both feet planted on the ground and knees above hip level also they should keep their pelvis neutral with buttocks against the back of the chair with ears, shoulder and hip aligned. In addition, people spend large portion of their time in bed, so make sure to use good mattress for better body posture during rest to prevent or reduce the joint stress and low back pain. We advise people to keep flex knees during resting time or use Pillow to support the knees to maintain natural alignment.

The diet and exercise choices you make can help you protect your spine. By strengthening the muscles supporting your vertebrae, exercise can help prevent back pain and neck pain. Flexibility training, strength training, and aerobic exercise are all part of a healthy exercise routine, and each type of exercise contributes to spinal health. Good nutrition also is essential to helping us feel our best and reach our optimal health. Exercise and a healthy diet also help you maintain a healthy weight, which is another way to help ensure your spine is not overstrained.

As a conclusion, use food as medicine, manage the stress in our life, proper sleep and make sure physical activity is a habit, these lifestyles changes can easily prevent or reduce Back Pain.
